Hi, I am Melanie, an illustrator and motion designer based in Rendsburg, in the north of Germany.

I am a self-taught designer who has been creating content for businesses and personal use since 2018.

What started as a traineeship at the "Senckenberg Museum für Naturkunde Görlitz" led to a full-time role as a Content Designer at "simpleclub", Germany’s most-popular digital learning platform, where I created animations and illustrations to help break down hard-to-understand concepts.

I’ve always loved to share knowledge with others and being able to create my own artwork to showcase this feels so amazing. A huge passion of mine is biology and therefore I have worked with scientific and educational organisations in the past to bring their information to life.

I am a morning person. That is the time I am most productive and creative.

As well as a designer, I am also a trained biologist, having completed a master’s degree in Applied Ecology with a focus on the protection of Biodiversity.

To recharge my batteries, I love to spend time in nature, especially close to water, and enjoy time with family and friends.

I love cats and dogs.

I constantly share weird facts I stumble over-, like, did you know there are poisonous birds? And they’re not located in Australia!
